Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving · Jonik Surprenant – HM All-Met

Congratulations to Blake junior Jonik Surprenant for being named Honorable Mention All-Met in Boys Swimming by The Washington Post! A complete list of past Blake student-athletes to have received this recognition can be seen here.

Jonik is the 7th member of the Blake Boys Swim & Dive program to be recognized as All-Met. He joins Aaron Stanton (HM – 2018), Matthew Kenney (HM – 2016), Cory Camp (HM – 2013), Spencer Sterling (1st Team – 2011 and HM – 2010), Cameron Lancon (HM – 2010 & 2011) and Matt Stevens (HM – 2009). Jonik is just the third junior to receive All-Met honors in program history.

Jonik enjoyed an outstanding junior season, capped off with a 2nd place finish in the 500 Freestyle and 3rd place finish in the 200 Freestyle at the State Championship meet. Jonik set the school record in the 500 Freestyle, breaking the mark previously held by Matt Kenney (Blake, 2016).
