Congratulations to recent Blake graduate Noelani Phillips, for being named Honorable Mention All-Met in Track & Field for Spring 2019 by the Washington Post! This is the second time in her career that Noelani has been named Honorable Mention All-Met. She previously earned the honor after the 2017-2018 Indoor Track & Field season.
Noelani leaves Blake as one of the most decorated members of the Track & Field program. As a senior, Noelani won the 3A State Championship in the 200M Dash and helped lead the Bengals to a 3A State record in the 4x200M Relay. She also placed 3rd in the 400M Dash at the State Championship Meet. At the Region Championship Meet, Noelani competed on two victorious relays, the 4x100M and 4x200M relays.
Noelani capped off her career by being named the Female Athlete of the Year at the Blake Athletic Awards Night in May 2019. She is the first Blake female Outdoor Track & Field member to earn All-Met since 2015. A complete list of Bengals who have achieved this honor in all sports can be found here.
