As the regular season schedule comes to an end, below is information about postseason and playoff competition for Blake’s Winter sports.

Additional information can be found on CountySportszone, which compiles results around the state as well as unofficial playoff seeding standings. The MPSSAA website also has information about state and regional tournaments.

Information on this page will be updated throughout the rest of the Winter season.

Tickets to Sectional and Regional Tournament contests are $6 for all spectators over the age of six. Only MPSSAA passes will be accepted (MCPS staff ID’s and Blake season passes are not accepted at playoff contests).

Poms: Blake participated in the MCPS County Competition on Saturday, 2/2. The Bengals placed 4th in Division I to complete the competition season. Blake will honor its seniors on Friday, 2/8 at the home basketball game. The Blake Poms season is now complete.

Bocce: Blake competed in the MCPS Division II Tournament on Saturday, 2/2. The Bengals placed 4th out of 6 teams to finish the season. Blake honored its seniors at the final home match, vs. Rockville on 1/15. The Blake Bocce season is now complete.

Cheerleading: Cheerleading does not have postseason competitions in the Winter. The Bengals will honor the seniors on Tuesday, 2/12 during the Girls Basketball game vs. Blair.

Indoor Track & Field: Blake competed in the MCPS County Championship meet on 1/16 (Complete results here; Boys finished 11th and Girls placed 10th). The Bengals then competed in the MPSSAA 3A West Region Championship meet at the Baltimore Armory on 2/7 (Complete results here; Boys finished 7th and Girls placed 4th). Qualifying athletes then advanced to the MPSSAA State Championship meet at the PG Sportsplex on 2/19 (Complete results here; Girls placed 3rd and Boys finished 27th). The Bengals’ Indoor Track & Field season is now complete.

Wrestling: Blake’s first championship tournament of the season was the MPSSAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament. Isa Pineda won her weight class for the second consecutive year! A link to the brackets will be posted when available. The Bengals competed in the MCPS County Tournament on 2/15 and 2/16 at Gaithersburg HS; Blake placed 25th. Blake did not have any athletes qualify for the Region Tournament. Swim & Dive: Blake competed in the MCPS Division II Championship meet on 2/2 and placed 6th as a team (results here). Qualifying athletes competed in Metros (2/6-2/9) at Germantown Indoor Swim Center (results here). The Bengals then compete in the MPSSAA 4A/3A North Region Championship meet (Blake Boys placed 2nd and the Girls placed 6th; complete results here). Qualifying athletes will then compete in the MPSSAA State Championship meet (Blake Boys placed 8th and the Girls finished 23rd – compete results here). Boys Basketball: Blake competes in the MPSSAA 3A West Region (Section I). The playoff brackets can be found here. Blake earned the #4 seed and defeated #5 Watkins Mill, 74-59 in the Sectional Quarterfinals. Blake was then defeated by #1 Magruder, 55-53 in the Section Semifinals. Girls Basketball: Blake competes in the MPSSAA 3A West Region (Section I). The playoff brackets can be found here. Blake earned the #4 seed, but was defeated by #5 Watkins Mill, 49-42 in the Sectional Quarterfinals.
