MCPS requires all students participating in sports to complete a Baseline Concussion test prior to participating in a scrimmage or contest. The Baseline Concussion test is valid for two years.
Students who plan to participate in a winter sport, and are in need of a baseline concussion test, should plan on attending one of the testing sessions below that are offered prior to tryouts.
Students who have not completed the concussion baseline testing may not participate in scrimmages or contests until the test is completed.
The Blake Athletic Department will be offering a Baseline Concussion test sessions at the following time:
Thursday, November 1st at 2:45pm in A101 and A103 (across from the Main Office).
Thursday, November 8th at 2:45pm in A101 and A103 (across from the Main Office).
Tuesday, November 13th at 2:45pm in A101 and A103 (across from the Main Office).
The baseline test should take between 30-45 minutes.
Note: There will be other opportunities once tryouts begin, but they may conflict with practice times once the winter season starts.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mr. Jared Fribush, Athletic Director at Blake High School or the coach of your sport.
